Milence, a joint venture between Daimler Truck, the Traton Group, and the Volvo Group, has revealed plans for its second charging station in Sweden, located in Ödeshög along the E4 freeway between Malmö and Stockholm. The station, set to open in September 2024, will initially feature eight CCS charging points providing 400 kW of power, with plans to expand to 16 points and include MCS chargers once the standard is finalized. This expansion aims to support the growing demand for electric truck charging infrastructure.

Anja van Niersen, CEO of Milence, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions, stating, “Sweden is a pioneer in the field of electric road transport, and with the new charging park in Ödeshög, Milence is proud to be a part of this initiative.” The site will also offer amenities such as a lounge, showers, and toilets for drivers’ convenience.

This announcement follows Milence’s recent development in Varberg, where the company is building its first Swedish charging park. Milence plans to install 1,700 charging points across 15 European countries by 2027, with previous openings in Venlo, the Netherlands, and Normandy, France.
