According to Mercedes-Benz, the extended wheelbase models provide more versatile interior usage, with the ability to accommodate up to seven passengers. The second and third rows of seats are individually adjustable, foldable, and removable, allowing for a maximum luggage compartment volume of up to 3,660 litres in the eCitan Tourer with the rear seats removed. The sliding doors have also been widened to 83 centimetres in the long-wheelbase versions.
Both models retain the same drivetrain, featuring a 90 kW motor and a 45 kWh battery with AC charging capabilities at 11 kW or optionally 22 kW for the EQT. DC fast charging is also possible at up to 80 kW peak rate. Based on the Renault Kangoo, these models are manufactured by Renault in France and share the platform with the Nissan Townstar EV.
