Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new 90 kWh battery option for its eVito panel van, significantly increasing its range to up to 480 kilometers (WLTP). The upgrade follows the model’s previous limitation of a 60 kWh battery, which provided a maximum range of 307 km. The new battery option aligns the eVito with its siblings, the EQV MPV and eVito Tourer estate, which already offer the same capacity.
Alongside the battery upgrade, customers can now choose between the standard 85 kW electric motor and a more powerful 150 kW variant, borrowed from the eVito Tourer.

The enhanced eVito Transporter starts at €46,007.93 gross (€38,662 net) in Germany, inclusive of a four-year maintenance package and an eight-year battery warranty covering up to 160,000 km. Compared to the previous 60 kWh variant, which starts at €36,181, the larger battery adds an estimated €2,500 to the overall cost.
With fast-charging capability of up to 110 kW, the new eVito can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 40 minutes, improving its practicality for commercial applications. The AC onboard charger remains rated at 11 kW. Mercedes-Benz maintains the existing vehicle dimensions, offering two body lengths—5,140 mm (long) and 5,390 mm (extra-long)—with a maximum cargo volume of 6.6 cubic meters. The short version of the eVito does not receive the larger battery option.

The latest model also integrates the MBUX multimedia system with a 10.25-inch central touchscreen and a 5.5-inch instrument cluster display, as well as a suite of safety and driver assistance features.
“With the new variants of the eVito panel van, we are expanding the fields of application for commercial electromobility and ensuring that locally CO₂-emission-free mobility is even more suitable for everyday use,” said Klaus Rehkugler, Head of Sales & Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Vans.

The addition of a larger battery marks the first major powertrain update since Mercedes-Benz refreshed its mid-size van lineup in mid-2023, focusing previously on design, comfort, and safety improvements.
The automaker sees the 90 kWh battery as a key factor in making the eVito more viable for a wider range of commercial users, addressing concerns about limited driving range and charging speeds.
