Following its launch in November 2024, Mercedes-Benz’s battery-electric eActros 600 has been integrated into dozens of commercial fleets across Europe, according to Daimler Truck.
The company said the model, its first electric long-haul truck, is now operating in countries including the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, France and Romania.
The eActros 600 features a 621 kWh LFP battery and offers a range of up to 500 km with a gross combination mass of 40 tonnes. At compatible DC charging stations, the vehicle can reach a maximum charging power of 400 kW, with 1,000 kW megawatt charging expected in future. Daimler Truck said the current setup enables up to 1,000 km of daily travel on a single charging stop, subject to regulatory driving time limits.
Operators are deploying the trucks in varied transport roles. Refrigerated logistics has been a key application, with Belgium’s VM-Milktrans and Sovedo Logistics ordering six vehicles, the first two delivered in July, for milk collection.
French refrigerated transport company Transports Derocq has also taken delivery of its first unit, while Austria’s Friedl has begun using the model for temperature-controlled operations.
In conventional freight, UK-based HIVED has added two of nine planned units for medium-range parcel logistics, Simon Loos Logistik in the Netherlands is using the trucks to supply supermarket chain Lidl, and Germany’s Logistik Schmitt has ordered 23 units for distribution work, following testing of prototypes and pre-series vehicles.
