The Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance is equipped with a 2,000cc turbocharged 4-cylinder M139 unit capable of producing up to 476 hp. This great power comes thanks to the use of Formula 1 technology, a turbocharger equipped with a small electric motor between the turbine and compressor. Thus creating a faster boost.
However, this power has not been combined with an electric motor placed on the rear wheel which adds 201 hp, this electric motor is powered by a 6.1 kWh battery. As a result, the power of this sedan reaches 677 hp with 982 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via the 4Matic+ system which features a limited-slip rear differential via a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Through this combination, the Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 3.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 280 kph. Meanwhile, this 6.1 kWh battery has a short distance of about 12.8 km or 8 miles. This battery can be recharged via the onboard 3.7 kW charger.
