German car manufacturer, Mercedes-AMG GmbH recently launched the successor to the C63 SE with the addition of hybrid technology.

In the end, one of the iconic cars from the Mercy manufacturer launched the latest generation of the C63. Different from the previous generation, now the sedan is leaving the V8 engine configuration and relying on a 4-cylinder DOHC Turbo hybrid unit.

In appearance, this car is not much different from the other C-Class line-up. However, there is a difference from the use of a more sporty bumper, 19-inch multi-spoke rims and an optional 20-inch. At the rear, the use of a 63-spec trapezoidal dual exhaust and diffuser.

Entering the interior, the dashboard model looks no different from other C-Class models. However, the C63 uses carbon accents on the dashboard and the use of a bucket model seat that makes it look more sporty.

Then, on the 12.3-inch head unit equipped with the latest generation MBUX system, it can display special settings for the exhaust and suspension. The features include various driving modes such as Electric, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race, Battery hold, and Slippery.

The Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance is equipped with a 2,000cc turbocharged 4-cylinder M139 unit capable of producing up to 476 hp. This great power comes thanks to the use of Formula 1 technology, a turbocharger equipped with a small electric motor between the turbine and compressor. Thus creating a faster boost.

However, this power has not been combined with an electric motor placed on the rear wheel which adds 201 hp, this electric motor is powered by a 6.1 kWh battery. As a result, the power of this sedan reaches 677 hp with 982 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all wheels via the 4Matic+ system which features a limited-slip rear differential via a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Through this combination, the Mercedes-AMG C63 SE Performance can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 3.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 280 kph. Meanwhile, this 6.1 kWh battery has a short distance of about 12.8 km or 8 miles. This battery can be recharged via the onboard 3.7 kW charger.

About the price, unfortunately the manufacturer has not mentioned this, friend. However, it is rumored that the price can reach above USD 80,000.
