MAN Trucks is ramping up efforts to assist commercial fleet operators in Europe and the UK with electrification, offering free consultation services to help businesses navigate the transition to battery-electric vehicles.
The initiative, led by MAN’s electric commercial vehicle consultation team, provides fleet managers with insights into operating costs, vehicle suitability, and charging infrastructure. Roger Turnbull, Head of EV Truck Consultation at MAN Trucks, highlighted the growing interest in electrification among transport firms.

“After another busy week of meetings presenting to haulage and transport organizations of all sizes across the UK – you can feel the EV interest and enthusiasm growing,” Turnbull wrote on LinkedIn.
As European fleets increasingly deploy electric trucks, industry data suggests that concerns over range limitations may be overstated, particularly on standard routes. MAN has been vocal in its support for battery-electric technology over hydrogen-powered alternatives, aligning its strategy with other major European manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz and Renault.

The consultation service aims to help companies assess which vehicles are best suited for electrification and determine the most effective charging solutions, which may include both on-site and external infrastructure. While off-site charging options such as those provided by firms like Voltera and Zeem are more common in the U.S., Europe’s higher fuel costs and more developed EV infrastructure make fleet electrification an attractive proposition.
MAN’s service is offered at no cost and with no purchase obligation. “Your MAN EV Consultation Team in the UK offer free information, advice, and support,” Turnbull noted. “[Everything] from the basics to multi-vehicle using multiple site locations. Factually checked and honest.”
