Commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus has officially rolled out its new Charge&Go public charging service for electric truck drivers across Europe, offering access to a growing network of compatible sites and simplifying payments via a dedicated card system.

Currently, around 650 MAN eTruck-standard charging locations are accessible across the continent, with plans to increase that number to 1,000 by the end of 2025. The Charge&Go platform allows drivers to locate compliant charging points via a digital interface, using either the vehicle’s display or the MAN DriverApp. Sites are marked as either eTruck ready or eTruck limited, depending on whether they fully meet truck-specific requirements such as access height, turning radius, and weight limits.

“Charge&Go is designed to provide seamless, practical access to charging infrastructure for commercial electric vehicles,” the company said in a statement. The service includes a dedicated charging card accepted at over 15,000 charging locations Europe-wide, beyond just MAN eTruck-ready sites. Upon arrival, drivers authenticate at the charging station with their card, with backend payment processing and consolidated monthly invoices issued for fleet managers.

The service also features a customer portal that tracks all charging activity, providing transparency on costs and usage across a company’s fleet. MAN confirmed plans to expand the eTruck-ready network with about 170 additional truck charging parks at MAN locations, in collaboration with energy provider E.ON. The first of these opened in September 2024 at the company’s service centre in Berlin-Wildau.

The launch follows MAN’s increased internal use of eTrucks for its own logistics operations. In April, the company initiated a tender for battery-electric truck use on the first of 40 planned logistics routes. As of February, MAN reported it had received approximately 2,800 orders and customer enquiries for its eTruck lineup.
