Luxeed, the electric vehicle brand jointly developed by Huawei and Chery, will open pre-sales for upgraded versions of its S7 pure electric sedan and R7 coupe SUV on August 8, the company said on its social media channels. Both models will debut the brand’s redesigned logo as part of a full refresh for its lineup.

According to Chinese tech outlet LatePost, the official launch of the updated models is expected in September. The refreshed vehicles will feature Huawei’s ADS 4 smart driving system as standard, equipped with a 192-channel roof-mounted LiDAR, rear-facing high-precision solid-state LiDAR, and 4D millimeter-wave radars.

The Luxeed S7, the brand’s first model, was initially launched in November 2023 but faced early production shortages. It was relaunched in April 2024 with reduced prices to boost demand.

The R7 coupe SUV followed in September 2024 as the first model under Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) business, later expanding its lineup to include extended-range electric variants.

Current pricing for the S7 ranges from RMB 229,800 ($32,000) to RMB 319,800, while the R7’s battery-electric versions start at RMB 259,800 and the EREV options start at RMB 249,800.
