Lucid Motors has commenced production of its all-electric Gravity SUV at its manufacturing facility in Arizona, marking a significant milestone for the luxury electric vehicle maker. The announcement was shared on X, where Lucid highlighted the Gravity’s blend of performance, range, and spaciousness.

“This milestone is a celebration of the hard work by our passionate and dedicated team to bring this groundbreaking SUV to life. Its combination of space for seven passengers and their luggage, more than 440 miles of range, and outstanding performance redefines all expectations,” the company stated.

The Gravity, positioned as Lucid’s second major offering after the Air sedan, is designed to combine luxury and utility. It features seating for up to seven passengers with 120 cubic feet of cargo space and offers up to 828 horsepower and an EPA-estimated range of over 440 miles. Advanced features include ventilated 18-way power front seats with massage functions, Lucid’s DreamDrive™ advanced driver assistance system, and compatibility with Tesla’s NACS Supercharging network.

Pricing starts at $79,900 for the Touring variant, with the Grand Touring priced at $94,900. While orders for the Grand Touring are open, the Touring model is expected to be available in late 2025.

The Gravity’s launch represents Lucid’s effort to expand beyond the Air sedan and target a broader market, but challenges lie ahead. With established competitors like Rivian’s R1S and Tesla’s Model X dominating the electric SUV segment, Lucid’s ability to carve a niche will be closely watched.
