The Lotus Eletre is Lotus’ first electric SUV that has been introduced since last March. Lotus Eletre comes as an electric car that will bring the Lotus name to one of the largest automotive market segments in the world.
Interestingly, last Tuesday (25/10), Lotus has officially revealed the variants, specifications, and prices of the Lotus Eletre electric car.
“The confirmation of the Lotus Eletre’s pricing and specifications is a key moment in Lotus’ transformation through our Vision80 strategy,” said Matt Windle, Group Vice-President and Managing Director of Lotus Cars.
“Delivery for consumers will start in the first half of next year,” added Windle quoted from the official release.
The Lotus Eletre is confirmed to be on sale with a starting price of £89,500.
In this ‘cheapest’ variant, the Lotus Eletre gets two all-wheel-drive electric motors that produce 603 hp and 710 Nm of torque.
Lotus claims the cheapest Eletre can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and can run up to 258 km / h.
The variant above it is the Lotus Eletre S which is priced from 104,500 pounds sterling. The Eletre S gets the same powerful electric motor, but gets additional features such as privacy glass, air quality system, active rear spoiler, KEF Reference audio.
These two Eletre variants also get a battery capacity of 112 kWh which gives a claimed range of 600 kilometers.
On top of these two variants, there is the Lotus Eletre R which is the fastest and most expensive flagship variant with a price tag of 120,000 pounds.
With this price, the Eletre R gets a more powerful motor, which is 905 hp and 985 Nm of peak torque.
This more powerful power and torque allows the Eletre R to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.95 seconds.
