Li Auto announced today that it has achieved a significant milestone by reaching one million vehicle deliveries, just three days after its one millionth vehicle rolled off the assembly line. This accomplishment positions Li Auto as the first among new Chinese automotive brands to reach this delivery mark, according to the company’s announcement on Weibo.

It took Li Auto 58 months to reach this milestone, having delivered a record 53,709 vehicles in September, which brought its cumulative deliveries to 975,176 vehicles. So far in October, the company has delivered 24,824 vehicles.

Founded in July 2015, Li Auto has established itself as a prominent player in the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) market in China. The company’s first model, the Li One EREV, was launched in October 2018, with deliveries commencing in December 2019. By June 2020, Li Auto had achieved 10,000 cumulative deliveries, and by November 2021, this number rose to 100,000 units. The Li One has since been discontinued after exceeding 210,000 units in deliveries.

Currently, Li Auto’s offerings primarily consist of L-series EREVs, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9, all categorized as SUVs (sport utility vehicles). The company’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), was launched on March 1.

Li Auto has consistently marked delivery milestones, with its 700,000th vehicle delivered in March, its 800,000th in June, and its 900,000th in August. In the third quarter, the company achieved a record 152,831 deliveries, reflecting a 45.4% increase year-on-year, aligning with its guidance range of 145,000 to 155,000 units. For the January-September period, Li Auto delivered a total of 341,812 vehicles, up 39.96% compared to the previous year.
