Li Auto has surpassed 10,000 operational superchargers as it accelerates infrastructure expansion in preparation for the launch of new battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, the company announced on Friday.
The Chinese automaker activated its 1,873rd supercharging station, bringing its total number of superchargers to over 10,000, nearly two years after opening its first station in April 2023. “This milestone reinforces our commitment to alleviating charging concerns for BEV owners,” said Li Xiang, the company’s founder, chairman, and CEO.

Li Auto’s superchargers come in 2C, 4C, and 5C versions, with peak charging powers ranging from 250 kW to 520 kW. The fastest 5C chargers, of which there are currently 1,289, can charge a Li Mega MPV from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes.
The company aims to have more than 5,000 supercharging stations by 2025, covering 90% of major highways and urban areas. Li Auto is also targeting over 2,500 self-operated stations with more than 15,000 chargers nationwide by the time its first all-electric SUV, the Li i8, is launched.
