Lexus has officially introduced the latest generation of its ES sedan to European audiences, confirming the inclusion of two all-electric models, the ES 350e and ES 500e. The launch marks the first time the luxury sedan will be available as a battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the region, with sales set to begin in spring 2026.

Building on its global debut at Auto China in April, Lexus has now released additional technical specifications for the European market. Contrary to earlier expectations, the ES 350e and ES 500e will feature slightly different battery capacities. The front-wheel drive ES 350e houses a 77 kWh battery (76.96 kWh usable), while the all-wheel drive ES 500e includes a 75 kWh pack (74.69 kWh usable).

Performance figures remain consistent with prior announcements. The ES 350e produces 165 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The dual-motor ES 500e offers a combined 252 kW and reaches the same benchmark in 5.7 seconds.

Both models support DC fast charging at up to 150 kW, allowing for a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions. Charging times extend to 40 minutes at 0°C and up to 60 minutes in sub-zero conditions.

According to Lexus, both BEVs benefit from the company’s Global Architecture-K platform, which supports newly developed electric axle systems with integrated motors, transmissions, and power control units. “This architecture enables more efficient packaging and helps maximize cabin space,” Lexus stated at the European premiere.

In addition to the two BEV variants, the updated ES lineup will also include hybrid options. Western Europe will receive the ES 300h with a 2.5-litre petrol engine and 148 kW of output, while Eastern Europe will see the more powerful ES 350h rated at 182 kW. Both hybrid models will be available in front- and all-wheel drive configurations.
