Lexus has opened orders in the United Kingdom for its refreshed RZ lineup, introducing a revised powertrain, new 77 kWh battery packs, upgraded eAxles, and the brand’s first-ever RZ F Sport variant. Deliveries are expected to begin in spring 2026.
The new RZ 550e F Sport and its Takumi version mark the debut of Lexus’ steer-by-wire system, which eliminates the traditional mechanical link between the steering wheel and front wheels. Instead, steering inputs are transmitted via electrical signals from a torque actuator to a control actuator. Lexus says the setup allows for quicker response and easier maneuvering, requiring only a 200-degree turn from neutral to full lock.

Both F Sport variants also introduce the Interactive Manual Drive feature, which lets drivers simulate an 8-speed manual transmission to fine-tune power delivery through the drivetrain. Each comes equipped with the Direct4 all-wheel-drive system as standard.
All RZ models now feature an upgraded 77 kWh battery offering increased performance and efficiency. The base RZ 350e front-wheel-drive model, delivering 165 kW, offers up to 353 miles of range. The RZ 500e provides 280 kW with all-wheel drive, while the flagship RZ 550e F Sport reaches up to 300 kW of power.
