Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) said on Monday it received more than 18,000 vehicle orders during China’s Labor Day holiday period, driven by robust demand for its C-series SUVs.
Between May 1 and May 5, the company said on Weibo it recorded over 18,000 new orders, including more than 3,700 on May 5 alone. The C11 SUV accounted for 1,099 orders that day, Leapmotor said.
The strong order intake comes on the heels of a solid delivery performance in April. The company delivered 41,039 vehicles last month, its second-highest monthly total behind December 2024’s 42,517 units. April deliveries rose 173.5% from a year earlier and 10.6% from March’s 37,095 units.
Year-to-date, Leapmotor has delivered 128,591 vehicles, a 165.6% increase compared to the same period last year. The company aims to deliver between 500,000 and 600,000 vehicles in 2025.
Leapmotor launched its new all-electric B10 compact SUV on April 10, with deliveries starting on April 19 at a base price of RMB 99,800 ($13,820). The company also unveiled its B01 electric sedan at the 2025 Shanghai auto show, expanding its B-series lineup. On April 30, it began taking pre-orders for the B10 and started pre-sales for an updated version of the C10 SUV.
The company currently offers the C01, C10, C11, and C16 SUVs in its C-series, the B10 SUV in the B-series, and the compact T03 electric vehicle.
