Leapmotor, a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer backed by Stellantis, has introduced the hybrid version of its C10 SUV in Europe, following the launch of the all-electric variant in September 2024.
The company showcased its extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology at the Brussels auto show in Belgium on January 10, marking the official European debut of the C10 EREV.
The C10 EREV offers a combined WLTP range of over 950 kilometers and COâ emissions as low as 10g/km. The hybrid model is equipped with a 215-horsepower electric motor, providing a peak torque of 320 Nm.
The vehicleâs battery can be charged through DC or AC charging or by using the on-vehicle fuel generator. Orders for the C10 EREV began on January 10, with local deliveries expected to start in March 2025.
The C10, a five-seater SUV, was initially launched in China in March 2024, available in both EREV and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants. Since launching in Europe in September 2024, Leapmotor has established over 400 sales outlets in 13 countries, with plans to increase this number to 500 by the end of 2025.
In 2024, Leapmotor delivered 293,724 vehicles, surpassing its target of 250,000 units. The company plans to introduce additional models in international markets over the next three years. Stellantis, which invested 1.5 billion euros in Leapmotor in 2023, holds a 20% stake in the company and is supporting its expansion through its distribution channels.
