Leapmotor, backed by Stellantis NV, reported deliveries of 25,170 vehicles in January, reflecting a sharp 40.8% decline from December’s 42,517 units.

However, the figure marked a 105.02% increase compared to the same period last year, highlighting continued demand for the Chinese automaker’s expanding lineup.

China’s auto market typically experiences seasonal fluctuations, with the start of the year often seeing lower deliveries due to the Chinese New Year holiday. By the end of January, Leapmotor had delivered a cumulative 624,718 vehicles since its inception.

The company aims to achieve full-year deliveries of 500,000 units in 2025, following a strong 2024 performance where it sold 293,724 vehicles—an annual increase of 103.76%.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor initially focused on battery electric vehicles (BEVs) but has since expanded into the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) segment to capture a broader market. Its current offerings in China include the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16, with all but the T03 available in both BEV and EREV versions.

Looking ahead, Leapmotor is set to release its new B10 model in March. First showcased at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show in November, the B10 will be the company’s first all-electric SUV built on the Leap 3.5 architecture and the debut model in its B-Series.

This new platform is designed for a global market and will include SUVs, sedans, and hatchbacks, with three additional models expected to be released in 2025.
