Leapmotor reported that its new B10 compact SUV received 31,688 pre-orders within 48 hours of pre-sales opening, with the lower-priced LiDAR-equipped variant proving the most popular, the company said on Tuesday.
Leapmotor launched pre-sales for the B10, the first model in its B-series lineup, on March 10, ahead of its official release in April. The company previously stated that the vehicle secured more than 15,010 pre-orders in the first hour, with LiDAR-equipped variants accounting for 73% of reservations.

The all-electric B10 is available in five configurations, including three versions with a China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) range of 510 km, starting at RMB 109,800 ($15,170), RMB 119,800, and RMB 129,800. Two additional variants offer a 600-km range, priced at RMB 129,800 and RMB 139,800, respectively. The top-tier models are equipped with Hesai Group’s (NASDAQ: HSAI) ATX LiDAR system, which Leapmotor says enhances intelligent driving capabilities.
“The B10 is the first model in the industry to feature LiDAR at a price as low as RMB 130,000, making advanced smart driving technology more accessible,” the company said in a statement.

Following the pre-sales event, Leapmotor executives indicated that its C-series vehicles had already achieved monthly sales exceeding 40,000 units, and they expect B-series models to perform even better. “We are confident in achieving monthly sales above 40,000 units for the B-series,” Leapmotor said.
Leapmotor currently sells the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16 in China, with all models except the T03 available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. The company plans to expand the B-series with additional models.
