Kymco reveals SuperNEX electric concept at EICMA 2022

Kymco reveals an electric sports bike prototype, the SuperNEX, at the 2022 Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA).

Previously, this motorbike was present at the EICMA 2018 event. Through the same event this year, Kymco again showcased the SuperNEX which has not yet entered the mass production stage. However, now the design is new, fresher and modern.

The fairing has a beehive-like design, looks unique, combined with an alien insectoid look, using black and blue accents.

In terms of ergonomics, it is still similar to other supersport bikes, there is a low clip-on bar, the footstep is positioned slightly backwards, more sporty. The meter panel is equipped with a full color TFT screen.

In terms of performance, Kymco claims the acceleration of this motorbike is 0-100 kph in 2.9 seconds, the maximum speed is 250 kph. To compensate for performance, there is a FEP electronics package, including Wheelie Control, Traction Control, Cornering ABS, and four riding modes.

Unlike other electric motorbikes, the SuperNEX reportedly has a 6-speed manual transmission like a gasoline-fueled sports motorbike. Uniquely, to present sound, equipped with speakers.

Unfortunately, Kymco did not mention when this motorbike would enter the mass production line. Of course, this will be very attractive to consumers, and provide a pleasant sensation of driving an electric-powered sports motorbike.
