Kia has reached a major milestone with its Kia Charge network now offering access to one million charging points across 28 European countries, including more than 55,000 in the UK. The expansion is aimed at supporting the growing Kia electric vehicle lineup, including models EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, and PV5.

The new Kia App consolidates Kia Connect, Kia Charge, MyKia, Kia Warranty Book, and the Kia Owner’s Manual into a single platform, allowing drivers to locate chargers, monitor sessions, manage subscriptions, and plan routes with integrated charging stops. The EV Route Planner now lets users set target charge levels at each stop, simplifying long-distance travel.

“Achieving one million charging points represents a significant milestone that underlines Kia’s commitment to providing our EV customers with a comprehensive ecosystem of public, residential, and depot charging solutions,” said Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe.

Kia Charge users have access to AC, DC, and high-power charging, including IONITY’s high-speed network, which currently has 5,000 points and plans to expand to 13,000 by 2030. Flexible subscription options, including IONITY Power and IONITY Ultra, provide lower per-kWh rates and monthly fees through the app.

The Plug&Charge feature enables automatic session authentication at compatible chargers, eliminating the need for cards or apps. All Kia Charge sessions use renewable energy, verified through Guarantees of Origin, with IONITY stations powered entirely by green electricity. This reinforces Kia’s commitment to sustainable and responsible mobility while enhancing convenience for EV drivers across Europe.
