Kia America recorded a 112% year-on-year increase in electrified vehicle sales in October 2026, reaching a new monthly record as demand for its battery-electric and hybrid models continued to grow. Hybrid sales alone increased 114%, also setting a monthly record, the company announced on November 3.
The results contributed to Kia America’s overall October sales of 80,008 vehicles, up 16% from 69,002 units a year earlier. The automaker said October marked its sixth consecutive month of record-breaking sales.
Kia EV3, EV6 and EV9 Sales Increase
Kia recorded higher sales across its battery-electric vehicle lineup during October. The EV9 registered 1,406 units, compared with 666 in October 2025, while EV6 sales increased to 803 units from 508.
The newly introduced EV3 recorded 976 sales in October, bringing its cumulative sales to 1,496 units for the year.
The 2027 EV3 has arrived at Kia dealerships nationwide in the United States. The Light FWD variant has a starting MSRP just below $30,000, while the Wind FWD and Land FWD versions offer an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 321 miles, according to Kia.
Hybrid Models Deliver Strong Growth
Kia’s hybrid vehicles also contributed significantly to the increase in electrified sales.
Hybrid versions of the Sorento recorded a 122% year-on-year sales increase in October. The Carnival hybrid grew 88%, while the Sportage hybrid increased 57%.
The performance across these models helped Kia achieve its highest monthly hybrid sales total, reflecting the growing contribution of hybrid powertrains to the company’s US vehicle lineup.
Eric Watson, vice president of sales operations at Kia America, said the expansion of the company’s electrified portfolio was supporting its sales momentum.
“An expanding hybrid lineup, the arrival of the all-new, all-electric EV3, and the success of the all-new Telluride and Seltos are adding even more momentum to our growth,”
Electrified Vehicles Support Kia’s US Sales Growth
Kia America’s total vehicle sales reached 747,394 units during the first 10 months of 2026, compared with 705,150 vehicles in the same period last year.
The October results highlight the increasing role of electrified models in Kia’s US business. Growth across battery-electric vehicles and hybrids provided a major contribution to the automaker’s latest monthly sales record.
