Joylong E6 electric van : specifications, battery and range

Joylong, a Chinese auto company, has released a commercial electric vehicle similar to the Toyota Hiace in Australia.

Named the Joylong E6, this electric van is present in Australia through Global Auto Distributors as a commuter bus.

Of course, the first interesting thing about the Joylong E6 is that it looks very much like the fifth generation Toyota Hiace or H200.

This can be seen from the rounded cab-over design, window lines, and a simple interior that has several design elements from Hiace.

But if you look at the dimensions, the Joylong E6 gets a body that is much longer than the Hiace Commuter.

To be precise, the Joylong E6 has a body length of 5,990 mm, a width of 1,880 mm, a height of 2,320 mm and a wheelbase of 3,720 mm.

Joylong said the E6 can be configured to accommodate 12 passengers up to 14 passengers.

Regarding performance, the Joylong E6 is not equipped with a diesel engine, but an electric motor that drives the rear wheels.

The Joylong E6 electric motor is capable of producing 60 kW or 81 hp and 382 Nm of peak torque.

Joylong did not forget to give E6 a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 86.1 kWh.

The Joylong E6 is claimed to have a ‘around town’ distance of 300 kilometers and a toll distance of 280 kilometers at full load.

For charging, the Joylong E6 has an onboard 22 kW charger with OBC Euro Type socket.

Joylong said the E6 battery can be charged from empty to full in five hours with a voltage of 20 amperes, or 3.9 hours with a voltage of 32 amperes.

Unfortunately Joylong did not mention whether the E6 is compatible with DC fast charging network or not.
