The forthcoming 2024 Honda Prologue has received official recognition from the IRS, being listed among electric vehicles eligible for the full $7,500 federal tax credit.
This significant advantage represents approximately 15% of the vehicle’s base Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $47,400. After factoring in the $1,395 destination charge and subtracting the tax credit, the effective starting price is reduced to $41,295.

The eligibility of the Honda Prologue for the $7,500 federal tax credit suggests that other models based on the Ultium platform, such as the Acura ZDX, may also qualify. Chevrolet has already confirmed that the 2024 Equinox EV will receive the full tax credit once it is launched.
However, there is anticipation for confirmation regarding the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV. It is understood that if the manufacturer adjusts its supply chain to meet the necessary requirements, primarily related to battery content, all Ultium-based EVs could potentially qualify for the tax credit later this year.

Regarding specifications, there have been no new updates since January when the manufacturer outlined the expected EPA range values of 273-296 miles for the Honda Prologue. The vehicle features an 85-kilowatt-hour battery and is offered with either a 158-kilowatt front-wheel-drive (FWD) or a 215-kilowatt all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain.
