Roaming platform Hubject has partnered with Blink Charging to integrate the US company’s charging points in the United States, Canada and Mexico into its Intercharge roaming system, aiming to simplify access for electric vehicle drivers in North America.
As part of the agreement, Blink will join Hubject’s Intercharge platform as a charge point operator (CPO). Once integration is complete, Hubject’s existing e-mobility service provider (eMSP) and CPO partners will gain access to Blink’s network, while Blink expects greater utilisation of its stations from Hubject-connected customers.
“Our collaboration with Blink marks an important step in expanding our North American intercharge network,” said Trishan Peruma, CEO of Hubject North America. “By integrating Blink’s network into our eRoaming platform, we aim to help reduce barriers that have historically complicated EV charging and to support the continued growth of EV adoption across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.”
Mike Battaglia, President and CEO at Blink Charging, called the deal “an important milestone in our commitment to expand convenient and reliable EV charging access across North America.” He added: “Connecting the Blink Network to Hubject’s platform will allow more drivers to benefit from interoperable charging while traveling. This agreement underscores our ongoing dedication to accelerating electric mobility while creating growth opportunities for Blink and value for our customers.”
The deal will also bring standardised billing via Hubject’s OCPI protocol. Full integration is expected by the end of the year, subject to technical and operational milestones.
