Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) is preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup significantly in 2026, with the number of models under its umbrella expected to nearly double, according to a report by Chinese outlet 36kr on Thursday.
The HIMA portfolio, which currently includes models such as Aito’s M5, M7, M8 and M9; Stelato’s S9T and S9; Maextro’s S800; Shangjie’s H5; and Luxeed’s S7 and R7, could exceed 17 models next year. The report said that all five brands are scheduled to roll out new vehicles, with additional launches potentially pushing the figure to 19.
Maextro’s upcoming luxury SUV, benchmarked against Land Rover’s Range Rover and Rolls-Royce, is seen as the most consequential new model, with Huawei and JAC projecting sales peaks of more than 40,000 units a month. “To ensure the new vehicle rivals Rolls-Royce in product strength, Huawei has packed nearly all its intelligent technologies into this SUV,” the report said.
The new Maextro SUV is expected to be priced below the RMB 708,000 ($99,400) Maextro S800 but above the Aito M9, which starts at RMB 479,800. Luxeed is preparing a large SUV tentatively named R9 and an MPV codenamed X9, while Shangjie will add a large SUV and a sedan. Aito is working on an M9 Ultimate Edition and pursuing approvals for a new M6, and Stelato, Huawei’s joint venture with BAIC, will also expand its lineup.
