Honda introduces Striemo, E-Scooter with stabilizer technology

Honda is starting their expansion plan by entering the e-scooter market through a new subsidiary called Striemo. The new company will reportedly sell electric scooters that can run stably and are equipped with large-capacity batteries.

According to Yotari Mori as the CEO of Striemo, this scooter will be an alternative means of transportation that can be used by the public other than motorbikes. “This is a new mobility developed by leveraging knowledge of human needs. This scooter will also be a capable electric vehicle developed through developments at Honda,” said Mori.

Weighing around 20 kg, the Striemo electric scooter can cover a distance of up to 30 km on a single charge. In addition, Striemo also claims that their scooter is very stable because it has a balanced center of gravity of up to 0.1 mm, which allows this three-wheeled scooter to be easy to ride.

Given that this scooter has been designed in such a way, the turning mechanism is also much easier. To turn, the driver only has to tilt his body in the direction of the turn without having to perform extreme maneuvers. Mori said that this scooter is equipped with a sophisticated stabilizer that is ready to make it easier for users to use it.

Striemo said that this scooter will be sold at a price of 260,000 Yen. Targeted to be launched in 2023, this scooter will also be limited to only 300 units.
