Luxury automaker Hispano Suiza is gearing up to mark its 120th anniversary with the introduction of a new electric hypercar, the Sagrera. Set to debut in June 2024, the Sagrera represents an evolution of the Carmen model, boasting a revised aerodynamic package and a larger battery pack.
Teased last year, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera was showcased in a brief video emphasizing its prominent rear wing, crafted from carbon fiber with gold accents on the profiles, linking to the center bulge of the tail. The overall sculpted design, including the signature round LED taillights, closely resembles the existing Carmen and Carmen Boulogne models, which will continue to be available alongside the new iteration.

Hispano Suiza promises that the Carmen Sagrera will exude a sportier demeanor compared to its predecessors while maintaining the brand’s “hyperlux philosophy.” Additionally, the vehicle will feature a larger 103 kWh battery pack, up from 80 kWh, delivering an enhanced driving range.
Details regarding the electric powertrain have not been disclosed. The prior Carmen model boasted a dual electric motor setup generating 1,005 hp (750 kW / 1,020 PS), while the limited-production Carmen Boulogne cranked out 1,100 hp (820 kW / 1,115 PS).

The moniker “Sagrera” pays homage to the La Sagrera district of Barcelona, where Hispano Suiza established its first major factory in 1907. More information about the Carmen Sagrera is expected to surface ahead of its debut in June 2024. Pricing and availability are likely to align with the rest of Hispano Suiza’s lineup, catering primarily to hypercar enthusiasts and collectors.
