Hesai Group has introduced its new Infinity Eye lidar solution, aimed at enhancing perception systems across a range of autonomous driving levels, from L2 to L4. The launch includes three new automotive-grade lidar products—ETX, AT1440, and FTX—designed to provide improved detection capabilities for various vehicle autonomy requirements.
The Infinity Eye offering includes three tailored configurations: Infinity Eye A for L4 systems such as robotaxis, Infinity Eye B for L3 conditional automation, and Infinity Eye C for L2 driver assistance. Each setup combines Hesai’s new lidar models in different configurations to address specific operational design domains.

Infinity Eye A integrates four AT1440 and four FTX lidars to enable 360-degree coverage with no blind spots. The AT1440 unit, with a range of 300 meters and 1,440 channels, delivers a high-density point cloud of up to 34 million points per second. The FTX lidar, with a 180° × 140° field of view, contributes to enhanced blind-spot detection for urban environments.
Infinity Eye B, targeting L3 autonomy, combines the ETX long-range lidar—capable of detecting objects up to 400 meters—with the FTX blind-spot lidar. The ETX unit has already received nominations from a European automaker, according to the company. Infinity Eye C, developed for L2 ADAS applications, utilizes the ATX lidar, which has a 200-meter range and has been adopted by 11 automotive OEMs. Over 50,000 ATX units have been delivered since the first quarter of 2025.

Built on Hesai’s fourth-generation lidar platform, the new devices offer enhanced noise filtering and point cloud resolution, while achieving 85% component commonality across its lineup. The company is preparing for mass production of the AT1440 and ETX units beginning in 2025 and 2026, with an annual capacity of two million units.
Hesai projects total lidar shipments of between 1.2 and 1.5 million units in 2025. The company also continues to expand its presence in robotics, supported by partnerships with more than 1,700 firms in the sector.
