Great Wall Motor posted record monthly sales in September, delivering 133,639 vehicles, up 23.29% from a year earlier and 15.65% from August, the Chinese automaker said in a filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The company’s overseas sales reached 50,269 units in September, a record high, rising 13.98% year-on-year and 11.30% month-on-month, and accounting for 37.62% of total deliveries.

Sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) also set a new monthly record at 45,961 units, an increase of 52.55% compared with a year earlier and 22.58% from the prior month, representing 34.39% of overall sales.
By brand, Haval remained GWM’s main growth driver with 81,923 units sold in September, up 30.24% year-on-year and 18.88% month-on-month, contributing 61.30% of the company’s sales. The Tank brand delivered 21,441 units, its fifth consecutive month above 20,000, reflecting a 14.41% increase from a year ago. Wey, the company’s premium brand, recorded 11,026 units in September, surging 63.23% from a year earlier.

For the first nine months of 2025, GWM sold 923,358 vehicles, an 8.15% year-on-year increase. Overseas sales reached 334,181 units, up 3.06% year-on-year and accounting for 36.19% of total deliveries. Haval contributed 528,483 units in the same period, up 12.03% year-on-year, while Tank sales slipped 2.75% to 165,143 units. Wey recorded the fastest growth, almost doubling sales year-on-year to 63,593 units.
