GreenWay plans to deploy 368 new high-power charging (HPC) points in Poland and Slovakia by the end of 2025 under the EU-funded Cross-E initiative, in what the company calls one of the largest charging infrastructure investments in its history. The project will double the network’s capacity to 75 megawatts once complete.
Of the total, 279 charging points will be installed at 48 locations in Poland, while 89 will be set up at 20 sites in Slovakia. GreenWay said 80% of the new stations will be capable of delivering up to 400 kW, enabling faster charging for electric vehicles. The company has already brought some sites online, including nine locations in Poland and 23 in Slovakia.
“With these investments, we are building a network that provides fast and reliable charging. We want to make life easier for drivers when they are on the road and away from their home wallbox,” said Michal Mydlo, Country Manager at GreenWay Slovakia. “Coordinating the construction of two dozen locations in different parts of Slovakia while maintaining full network functionality was a challenge for the entire company. I am proud that we managed to complete the project without compromise and within the set deadline.”
The installations are part of the Cross-E programme, which aims to establish fast-charging infrastructure across eight European countries and is co-financed by the European Union. GreenWay expects the remaining sites to be operational by the end of next year, supporting the region’s growing demand for electric vehicle charging.
