Green GSM Philippines and Philippine National Bank (PNB) have entered into a financial and digital banking partnership designed to support the expansion of Green GSM’s all-electric ride-hailing operations across the country.
Under the agreement, PNB will provide a credit facility as well as digital banking services for Green GSM’s driver network. The partnership also includes account management and payment solutions through PNB’s corporate banking platform, which the companies said will help reduce account activation times and improve operational efficiency.
Partnership Supports Electric Mobility Growth
The collaboration comes as Green GSM continues to expand its presence in the Philippines’ electric mobility sector. The company has been building its all-electric ride-hailing network since partnering with Xentro Group in 2025.
Earlier this year, the companies launched the Green Xentro fleet in Rizal, marking a step forward in the deployment of electric ride-hailing services in the country.
As electric mobility platforms expand in emerging markets, access to financing and digital payment infrastructure is becoming increasingly important for scaling operations and supporting driver participation.
Digital Banking and Credit Services Included
The agreement is intended to provide Green GSM drivers with streamlined access to banking services while supporting the company’s broader operational and financial requirements.
The companies said the integration of PNB’s digital banking platform will help facilitate account management and payment processing, while the credit facility is expected to support the continued growth of Green GSM’s electric vehicle fleet and service network.
Executives Highlight Long-Term Development Goals
Edwin R. Bautista, President and Chief Executive Officer of PNB, said the partnership aligns with efforts to support sustainable transportation and long-term business development in the Philippines.
“We appreciate Green GSM’s long-term development direction in the Philippines, not only in advancing low-emission mobility, but also in the way the company is building an operating model with scalability and clear governance foundations,” Bautista said.
“The transition toward sustainable transport will require ecosystems capable of supporting stable long-term growth, together with the financial and operational foundations needed to enable that expansion.”
Le Thi Thu Trang, Chief Executive Officer of Green GSM Philippines, said the partnership will help strengthen the company’s operational and financial framework as it expands its electric mobility services.
“For Green GSM, developing an all-electric mobility model is not only about expanding the fleet, but also about building an operating system that is stable, standardised, and capable of sustainable long-term growth,” Trang said.
“Our partnership with PNB will help strengthen the financial and operational foundations needed to enhance service quality and support Green GSM’s continued expansion in the Philippines.”
