German truck rental company Hylane has appointed Maximilian Draxler to its management board, the company said on Monday. Draxler, who previously headed finance, will join Managing Directors Sara Schiffer and Bernd Zens from Sept. 1.
The Cologne-based provider of alternatively powered commercial vehicles said the 33-year-old had been with the firm since its founding. “He played a key role in building up the company and, since 2022, has been responsible as Head of Finance for designing the usage-based rental model, procuring zero-emission vehicles for the steadily growing fleet, and developing efficient controlling and financial processes,” Hylane said in a statement.
Draxler has also led the company’s Dutch subsidiary, Hylane Netherlands B.V., since its market entry earlier this year. In his expanded role, he will oversee finance, legal affairs and internationalisation.
“With Maximilian Draxler, we are bringing a colleague to the management board who knows Hylane inside out and has already set key milestones in our development,” said Schiffer. “Beyond his professional expertise, I particularly value his calm leadership approach, his eye for the essentials, and his commitment to our team.”
Draxler said he was “grateful for the opportunity” and looked forward to further developing the company “in a sustainable way – for the benefit of our customers and partners.”
Hylane announced earlier this year that it would expand its rental model to include battery-electric trucks, marking a shift from its original focus on hydrogen-powered vehicles since its 2021 founding.
