Geely’s electric car brand, Zeekr, has initiated pre-sales for its two models, the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X, marking their entry into the European market. The Netherlands and Sweden have been selected as the first two European markets, with pricing details now made public.
Having announced the Zeekr 001 and the new Zeekr X model for the European market back in April, the brand’s inaugural model, the Zeekr 001 Shooting Brake, which has been available in China since October 2021, will now be offered in Europe. The Zeekr X, a compact car with SUV features, will also be made available. However, the larger premium van, the Zeekr 009, will not be introduced in Europe.

Zeekr has revealed the initial pricing for the Netherlands and Sweden. The Zeekr 001 will be priced at ā¬59,490 in the Netherlands and 667,000 SEK in Sweden, while the Zeekr X will have a price tag of ā¬44,990 and 550,000 SEK, respectively. These prices include local taxes and apply to the single-engine versions equipped with a 200 kW motor located on the rear axle. The Zeekr 001 is fitted with a 100 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 620 kilometers, while the Zeekr X houses a 69 kWh battery providing a range of up to 440 kilometers.
The delivery of these electric vehicles in the Netherlands and Sweden is scheduled to commence in the autumn of 2023. Zeekr’s first European branches are planned to be established this year in Amsterdam and Stockholm. Following this, the brand aims to swiftly expand into other European countries and introduce additional models, as previously announced in April. While the manufacturer has expressed the intention to penetrate “most countries in Western Europe by 2026,” specific countries have not yet been disclosed.
With the commencement of pre-sales in the Netherlands and Sweden, Zeekr is taking a significant step towards establishing its presence in the European electric vehicle market. As customers eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X, the brand’s future expansion and product offerings are poised to shape the evolving landscape of electric mobility in Europe.
