Geely Auto has introduced an updated version of its Xingyuan compact electric vehicle in China, lowering the entry price while adding new technology features as competition intensifies in the country’s mass-market EV segment.
The updated Xingyuan officially went on sale on May 29 with a limited-time starting price of 61,800 yuan (US$9,130), lower than the discounted starting price of the previous 2026 model introduced in October 2025.
Pricing and Purchase Incentives
The updated Geely Xingyuan is available in six variants.
Official guide prices range from 64,800 yuan to 94,800 yuan, while customers who place and lock in orders before June 30, 2026, can receive a 3,000 yuan trade-in subsidy.
Following the subsidy, effective prices range from 61,800 yuan to 91,800 yuan depending on the selected variant.
Dimensions Remain Unchanged
The updated model retains the dimensions of its predecessor.
The vehicle measures 4,135 mm in length, 1,805 mm in width and 1,570 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.
Geely said the latest version introduces improvements in vehicle dynamics, powertrain technology, advanced driver assistance systems, cabin technology and safety features.
Battery and Charging Upgrades
All variants of the updated Xingyuan use battery cells supplied by CATL.
The model is offered with three CLTC-rated driving range options of 310 kilometers, 410 kilometers and 480 kilometers.
Geely said charging performance has also been enhanced, with the vehicle supporting a maximum charging rate of 1.66C.
Under suitable charging conditions, the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 19 minutes.
Smart Cabin Technology
The Xingyuan is equipped with Geely’s Flyme Auto 2.0 intelligent cockpit system.
The system is powered by the Dragon Eagle-1 automotive-grade processor developed by Geely-backed SiEngine Technology.
The interior features a 14.6-inch central touchscreen display and supports smartphone integration functions including Apple CarPlay.
According to Geely, the software and hardware upgrades are intended to improve the user experience and expand digital connectivity options.
Advanced Driver Assistance Features
The updated model also introduces the Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD) H3 driver assistance system.
Available functions include highway Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), automated parking assistance and Sentry Mode monitoring capabilities.
The addition of these features reflects the growing trend among Chinese automakers to introduce advanced driver assistance technologies into lower-priced vehicle segments.
Competitive Entry-Level Market
The Xingyuan forms part of Geely’s strategy to strengthen its position in China’s highly competitive entry-level electric vehicle market.
With lower pricing, updated charging technology and expanded intelligent driving functions, the company is seeking to attract buyers looking for affordable electric vehicles equipped with features that were previously more common in higher-priced models.
