Geely’s  sub-brand Geely Galaxy has officially launched the A7 hybrid sedan, positioning it against rivals such as BYD’s Qin L DM-i. The starting price is set at RMB 89,800 ($12,500), down 8.18% from the pre-sale price of RMB 97,800.

Seven variants are available, priced from RMB 89,800 to RMB 125,800. Customers purchasing before September 30 can access a trade-in discount of RMB 8,000, reducing the entry-level cost to RMB 81,800.

The A7, built on Geely’s GEA platform, measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a 2,845 mm wheelbase—larger than the Qin L DM-i.

Equipped with a 1.5-liter engine offering a thermal efficiency of 47.26%, the A7 delivers a CLTC fuel consumption of 2.67 liters per 100 km on depleted battery and a combined range of up to 2,100 km. Two battery options are offered: an 8.5 kWh pack from CALB with a 70 km range and an 18.4 kWh pack from CATL with a 150 km range.

Depending on the variant, the sedan features either a basic driver assistance system or Geely’s G-Pilot H3 intelligent driving suite. Analysts expect monthly sales to average 10,000 units, citing its size advantage, competitive pricing, and enhanced cockpit system over direct competitors.
