Geely Auto said it has opened new showrooms in Chile and Nicaragua, marking a significant step in its ongoing push to expand its footprint across Latin America.
The Chinese automaker inaugurated its first flagship store in Santiago, Chile, located in the capital’s Movicenter automotive district. The facility offers vehicle sales, after-sales services, and a product experience center. Geely also launched its Coolray Lite compact SUV in Chile as part of the expansion.
Geely entered the Chilean market six months ago and has since introduced four models — the Okavango, Starray, EX5, and now the Coolray Lite. The company said it has already built a network of 25 sales and service outlets across the country.

In Nicaragua, Geely opened its first showroom on Masaya Avenue in the capital city of Managua. The company debuted the seven-seat Okavango SUV at the event, continuing its momentum since entering the market in October 2024. Geely said it is now the second most popular Chinese car brand in Nicaragua.
Geely’s latest moves come as Chinese automakers accelerate global expansion efforts. Like domestic rivals such as BYD (HKG: 1211), Geely is investing heavily in overseas markets to broaden its international presence.
Earlier this month, Geely completed trial production of its EX5 SUV at its plant in Puwakarta, Indonesia. The company plans to begin mass production in the fourth quarter of 2025, targeting an annual output of 20,000 units.
