GAC Unveils the Aion Hyper GT’s Futuristic Interior

Chinese automaker GAC used last year’s Guangzhou Auto Show to reveal their upcoming all-electric flagship vehicle, the Aion Hyper GT. Now, the company has given us a closer look at the interior with a set of official images. While the company didn’t say much about the cabin, the images speak for themselves. The Aion Hyper GT’s interior design looks like it has borrowed a few ideas from Tesla, but with some unique features that set it apart.

The cabin has a light and airy design, thanks to the panoramic glass roof, and the dashboard features suede upholstery that complements the perforated leather seats. The oval-shaped steering wheel is positioned in front of a freestanding digital instrument cluster, giving the driver an unobstructed view of the information.

To the right of the steering wheel, there is a floating infotainment system that controls almost everything, leaving the cabin largely devoid of switchgear. A Tesla-like phone charger with a wooden surround and slender air vents can also be seen below the infotainment system.

The door panels have a modern design with gloss black trim, stylish speaker grills, and metallic switchgear. The electric openers for the doors add to the car’s futuristic feel. There are sizable storage compartments to keep the cabin clutter-free.

The Aion Hyper GT has an impressive drag coefficient of 0.19, making it one of the most aerodynamic vehicles in its class. The model rides on the AEP3.0 platform and will be equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that develops 335 hp (250 kW / 340 PS) and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque. GAC says this will enable the Hyper GT to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just four seconds.

Overall, the Aion Hyper GT’s interior looks modern, sleek, and futuristic, with features that set it apart from the competition. GAC has not yet announced the pricing or release date for the vehicle, but it’s clear that they’re aiming to make a splash in the electric car market with the Aion Hyper GT.
