Ford has introduced the F-150 Lightning Flash, a cutting-edge electric pickup truck that combines advanced technology with an extended-range battery. Priced at $69,995, the F-150 Lightning Flash will be available for online orders on Ford.com in early 2024.
Marin Gjaja, Chief Operating Officer at Ford Model e, emphasized the company’s dedication to customer feedback in the development of the F-150 Lightning Flash. He stated, “The F-150 Lightning Flash is a direct outcome of engaging with and learning from our customers. This truck combines many of the technology-forward features our customers love in our EV lineup, at a more accessible price. With an EPA-estimated 320 miles of range, the Lightning Flash is another example of the speed at which we are adapting to grow our EV business.”
The F-150 Lightning Flash, based on the XLT trim level, introduces several sought-after tech features. In addition to its extended-range battery targeting a 320-mile EPA range and BlueCruise capabilities, the Flash boasts a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a premium B&O sound system with HD radio and eight speakers, as well as a convenient wireless charging pad.
Notably, the Lightning Flash comes equipped with BlueCruise version 1.2, featuring Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning. Ford also offers flexibility to customers by allowing them to activate BlueCruise at any point during their ownership journey. This means buyers can choose to activate the service at the time of purchase or opt for annual or monthly payments.
