Ford has commenced deliveries of its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck in Europe, with the initial batch of vehicles making their way to customers in Norway.
The announcement was made by Ford CEO Jim Farley in a social media post, where he expressed excitement about the milestone and congratulated the first recipients of the F-150 Lightning.
Exciting to see our @Ford customers in Norway begin receiving their #F150Lightning deliveries. Congrats to Dag and Angela. Hope your new F-150 Lightning serves you well! @Ford_Norge https://t.co/RnukIJzGqo

While the official statement highlights the deliveries in Norway, reports indicate that owners in Switzerland have also received their vehicles in recent weeks, as shared in various Facebook groups.
Regardless, the F-150 Lightning, hailing from U.S. production lines, is now making its presence felt on European roads.
Ford had announced plans to officially import the electric version of the F-150 to Europe in April 2023, initially targeting Norway. Unlike its combustion engine counterparts, which are typically imported by dealers or in small commercial quantities, the F-150 Lightning is being offered directly by Ford. The decision to introduce the 5.91-meter-long pickup truck in Norway was driven by what Ford described as “overwhelming demand” for the model.
Subsequently, in autumn 2023, Ford expanded its European footprint for the F-150 Lightning, announcing limited availability in Switzerland.
