On April 6, Ford Europe is set to unveil a brand new electric vehicle (EV), and the company has teased the release with a short video on social media. Although the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the vehicle, it’s clear that it’s a van.
According to reports, the vehicle in question is most likely the fully-electric E-Transit courier van, which Ford first teased over a year ago. While some general specifications and details were shared at the time, the official unveiling will provide a more comprehensive look at the new electric van.
Among the features anticipated for the E-Transit are a range of 380km, DC charging support of up to 115 kW, and production at Ford’s Otosan facility in Turkey.
As electric vehicles continue to gain popularity and automakers look to expand their offerings in the space, the E-Transit is expected to be a significant step forward for Ford in the commercial electric van market. Stay tuned for more details after the official unveiling on April 6.
