Ford said it would reduce prices on its 2026 F-150 Lightning electric pickup by up to $4,000 following the expiration of the federal $7,500 EV tax credit in the United States. The automaker also increased driving range on select trims.
The move comes as Ford seeks to maintain momentum in the electric pickup market, where it reclaimed the top-selling position in 2025. The company sold more than 10,000 Lightnings in the third quarter, nearly double the roughly 5,400 Tesla Cybertrucks sold in the same period, according to Cox Automotive. Through September, total Lightning sales reached over 23,000 units.

The 2026 lineup includes a new base STX model, replacing the XLT trim. The STX starts at $63,345, the same as the 2025 version, but now features a 123 kWh extended-range battery with an EPA-estimated 290 miles of range, up from 240 miles in the previous XLT.
The Flash trim will see a $4,000 reduction to $65,995, while Lariat and Platinum trims start at $74,995 and $84,995, respectively.

In addition to price adjustments, Ford is offering incentives in states with zero-emission vehicle programs, including up to $11,500 in potential savings through lease cash, Power Promise bonuses, or 0% APR financing options nationwide.
The 2026 Lightning also incorporates select features from the F-150 parts catalog, including running boards and new wheels, enhancing off-road capability.
