Firefly, the compact electric vehicle brand owned by Nio Inc., has launched the Habitat, the first model in its new Halo design series, as the company expands its product lineup with design-focused variants.
The Habitat is offered in a single configuration with a starting price of 133,300 yuan ($19,680), compared with 119,800 yuan for the standard Firefly model.
Customers choosing Nio’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) program can purchase the vehicle from 93,300 yuan, with the battery provided through a subscription plan.
Display vehicles began arriving at Firefly retail stores across China on Monday.
Design-Focused Special Edition
Firefly said the Habitat’s design is inspired by the blue ghost firefly, which the company selected as its “Inner Glow” annual design theme for 2026.
The model features an exclusive green metallic exterior finish, illuminated green logo lighting and two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin adopts a nature-inspired theme with green accents, including soft fabric upholstery, embossed door panels, green seat belts and matching interior stitching.
