Fiat has unveiled a new micromobility strategy centred on a family of compact battery-electric vehicles designed to address both passenger transportation and urban commercial services.

Presented during an event in Rome, the strategy brings together the Fiat Topolino, the Fiat Tris commercial vehicle and the newly revealed Multiplina Concept under a single mobility ecosystem aimed at supporting sustainable urban transport.

Topolino Continues to Drive Growth

The Fiat Topolino remains the cornerstone of the company’s micromobility portfolio.

According to Fiat, the battery-electric light vehicle led Europe’s electric light vehicle market in 2025. The company also expects second-quarter 2026 orders to reach a new record, representing approximately 30% growth compared with the same period last year.

Fiat is further expanding the model lineup with new design editions, including Corallo, Dolcevita and Sport, alongside a Collector’s Edition created in partnership with Vilebrequin.

Tris Expands Beyond Commercial Deliveries

Fiat is also broadening the role of its electric three-wheeled Tris vehicle.

Originally developed for last-mile delivery operations in Africa and the Middle East, the Tris is now being adapted for hospitality, tourism and leisure applications through a new Dolcevita concept.

The automaker has also partnered with Caffè Vergnano to showcase the platform’s potential as a mobile coffee outlet, highlighting its suitability for small-scale retail and food service businesses operating in urban environments.

Multiplina Previews Future Electric Family Vehicle

Looking ahead, Fiat introduced the Multiplina Concept as a preview of its next-generation electric light vehicle.

Inspired by the classic Fiat 600 Multipla, the concept is intended to bridge the gap between the compact Topolino and a conventional passenger car.

The planned production model will be a four-seat battery-electric vehicle in the L7e category, offering greater interior space and practicality while maintaining a compact footprint for city driving. Fiat expects the production version to enter the market in 2028.

Building a Complete Urban Mobility Ecosystem

By combining the Topolino, Tris and Multiplina, Fiat is creating a broader product strategy that addresses multiple forms of urban transportation.

While the Topolino focuses on personal city mobility and the Tris serves commercial and last-mile logistics applications, the upcoming Multiplina is designed to provide a practical electric transport solution for families and small groups.

Fiat Chief Executive Officer Olivier François said the new strategy reflects the company’s long-term vision for urban mobility.

“Today, with Topolino, Tris, and our vision for the future – Multiplina- we are building on our legacy and creating a complete ecosystem for the cities of tomorrow.”
