The Fiat 500e and Abarth 500e have qualified for the UK Government’s £3,750 Electric Car Grant, reducing the purchase price of both electric city cars and making them more affordable for buyers transitioning to electric mobility.

Under the government’s Band 1 Electric Car Grant, all variants of the Fiat 500e, along with the Abarth 500e hatchback and Abarth 500e Convertible, are now eligible for the purchase incentive.

Fiat 500e Starts at £17,245

Following the introduction of the government subsidy and Fiat’s earlier pricing adjustments, the Fiat 500e is now available from £17,245, including the £3,750 grant.

The Abarth 500e hatchback now starts at £24,245, while the Abarth 500e Convertible is priced from £27,245 after the incentive has been applied.

The Electric Car Grant is available only to battery-electric vehicles that satisfy the UK Government’s environmental and sustainability requirements.

Expanding Access to Electric Mobility

Fiat UK said the grant represents another step toward making electric vehicles more accessible to a broader range of consumers.

Managing Director Kris Cholmondeley said the additional financial support strengthens the appeal of the company’s electric city car.

“This is another significant step from Fiat in making electric mobility even more accessible to a wider audience.”

He added:

“The Fiat 500e is an iconic model that combines style, city-friendly practicality and zero-emissions driving. The introduction of the £3,750 Government Electric Car Grant makes it an increasingly attractive proposition for customers considering the switch to electric.”

The latest incentive comes as the UK continues to encourage adoption of zero-emission vehicles through targeted purchase subsidies for eligible battery-electric models.
