Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (FFIE) is advancing the development of its FX 6 electric vehicle, with two prototype mules set to arrive at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters this month.
Shipped from FF China, these vehicles mark the official start of the testing and validation phase for the FX 6 in the U.S. This step aligns with FF’s goal of introducing AI-driven electric vehicles (AIEVs) under its FX brand, with further updates expected in March regarding the FX 6 and the brand’s overall strategy.

The FX 6 prototypes will undergo testing in the U.S., with a focus on areas including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, propulsion systems, intelligent cabin features, and user experience. The testing phase will ensure the vehicles meet the necessary regulatory and performance standards. The FX 6 and other FX models are expected to be assembled at Faraday Future’s Hanford, CA facility once production begins.
The FX brand is targeting the mass-market segment with plans for three models: the Super One (an AI-powered MPV), the FX 5, priced between $20,000 and $30,000, and the FX 6, priced between $30,000 and $50,000. Faraday Future leadership recently visited China to discuss supply chain developments, which have positively impacted the FX 6 production process. Additional information about the FX series is anticipated to be revealed in March.
