Vietnamese manufacturer VinFast introduced two new electric SUVs at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Carrying the names VF e35 and VF e36, the two VinFast electric cars also introduced very sophisticated electric car technology.

“VinFast believes that the ‘Future of Mobility’ will be filled with smart electric cars that can be personalized and integrated with technology that benefits life and the environment,” said Michael Lohscheller, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Global.

Starting from the VF e35, it is an electric SUV that has the potential to be in the same class as the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Volkswagen ID.4.

According  Carscoops and Auto Express, the VF e35 brings the distinctive look of VinFast designed by Pininfarina.

The interior feels modern like its competitor’s electric car complete with a 15.4-inch central screen and the absence of an instrument cluster.

Like its sibling, the VF e36 was also designed by Pininfarina, but with larger proportions and more squared off.

The VF e36 is set to compete with bigger and premium electric SUVs like the Tesla Model X.

Regarding technology, VinFast prepares the VF e35 and VF e36 to have Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities or conditional automation.

On the VF e35, this autonomous integrative feature works using 14 cameras, a LIDAR sensor, 19 360-degree sensors, and the Nvidia Orin X chip.

Mentioned by VinFast, the two electric SUVs also feature Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including Fully Automated Parking and Summon Vehicles.

Talking about performance, VinFast has not provided official specification information for the VF e35 and VF e36.

However, it is rumored that the VinFast VF e35 will be equipped with a single motor or dual motor with 201 hp and 402 hp.

Meanwhile, the VF e36 will have dual 402 hp motors with a battery capacity of 106 kWh.
