Everything You should know about Suzuki Vitara Full Hybrid

Suzuki has just released the Suzuki Vitara Full Hybrid to the market. This is a big step for the Japanese manufacturer to develop a new source of energy in its car.

Talking about the appearance, the clamshell hood, which is characterized by the Vitara model, is maintained to give a dashing look. Then the front bumper design is also new to make it look fresher and more modern.

Suzuki Vitara Full Hybrid side body curves are reminiscent of the first generation Vitara in 1988. Also equipped with companion accessories such as rear underguards and roofrails that thicken the character of its SUV.

The features are also quite complete even from the most basic variant, such as the SZ-T which includes seven airbags, LED multi-reflector headlights to USB and Bluetooth connectivity. There is also a Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control, automatic air conditioning, electric windows, keyless entry and start, 17-inch colored alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, white stitching for seat trim, Smartphone audio link and navigation system comes as standard.

Then the SZ5 variant gets 17-inch rims with a different finish. Then the suede seat material, panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and there is an ALLGRIP 4WD variant as an option.

The Vitara is available in a total of 11 different colors one of which is a solid color, the other includes a metallic finish and six dual-tone metallic colors with a Cosmic Black roof color.

The engine relies on the latest K15C consisting of a 140V lithium-ion battery and an inverter, Motor Generator Unit (known as MGU), 12V lithium-ion battery. The engine produces a maximum power of 115 hp and is combined with a 33 hp electric motor. The power is channeled to the AGS transmission and is able to accelerate the Vitara from 0-100 kph in 12.7 seconds.

In the cabin the audio system has Smartphone Linkage Display Audio (SLDA) monitored via a large seven-inch touch panel display. Includes a three-dimensional navigation map, and there are MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connections.

Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags, including the driver’s knee airbag as well as seat belt pre-tensioners and force limiters.

There is also Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) which effectively works from 5 kph to 100 kph. If the system detects a risk of collision with the vehicle in front, it will issue an audio and visual warning. If there is a risk of a collision, the height of the system will increase the braking force.

Blind Spot Monitor also increases safety when the driver wants to change lanes. Relying on two sensors on the rear that are able to detect vehicles approaching the blind spot behind. Once detected, a warning LED icon lights up in the rearview mirror.

Lane Departure as well as Lane Departure Prevention is standard on all Vitara hybrid models. When the vehicle is traveling at a speed of about 60 kph to 160 kph and changes lanes without the driver using a turn signal, the system will vibrate and give a signal to the steering wheel and turn on the warning indicator in the instrument cluster.

The Suzuki Vitara Full Hybrid is priced at 25,499 euros for the SZ-T, while the SZ5 2WD is priced at 27,499 euros and 29,299 euros for the SZ5 ALLGRIP model.
