IM Motors has introduced the next-generation LS6, expanding its electric SUV lineup with a fully by-wire chassis and a range of advanced digital technologies. The five-seat family SUV is positioned in China’s highly competitive 200,000-yuan to 300,000-yuan segment.
The new LS6 is offered in three all-electric variants, combining rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations with battery capacities ranging from 76 kWh to 103 kWh. Depending on the version, the SUV offers up to 782 km of CLTC driving range and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 3.48 seconds.
IM Motors LS6 Pricing and Variants
The new LS6 is available in three variants: Max, Pro Max and Ultra.
After incentives, prices start at 197,900 yuan for the Max, 217,900 yuan for the Pro Max and 259,900 yuan for the Ultra. Official guide prices range from 202,900 yuan to 264,900 yuan.
Customers who ordered during the pre-sales period can receive an additional 3,000-yuan cash discount. IM Motors previously reported more than 8,000 pre-orders within 45 minutes after pre-sales opened.
The entry price is the same as the starting price of the previous-generation all-electric LS6 when that model launched in September 2025.
Dimensions and Five-Seat Layout
The LS6 is designed as a large five-seat family SUV.
It measures 4,937 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width and 1,671 mm in height. The wheelbase stretches to 2,960 mm, providing a spacious footprint for a five-seat configuration.
The SUV’s dimensions place it firmly within the large family-oriented electric SUV category, with the chassis technology serving as one of its main differentiators.
Fully By-Wire Chassis Technology
The new LS6 introduces a fully by-wire chassis designed around electronic control of key vehicle functions.
All variants are equipped with steer-by-wire technology, intelligent four-wheel steering and the Lingxi Digital Chassis 3.0 system.
The four-wheel-steering system provides an 18-degree bidirectional steering range. On the Ultra variant, the technology helps reduce the minimum turning radius to 4.49 meters.
IM Motors uses aircraft fly-by-wire systems as a reference for the engineering concept and promotes the LS6’s chassis as an aviation-inspired technology feature.
The Ultra adds air suspension and electronically controlled adaptive damping for additional control over ride characteristics.
Electric Powertrain and Performance
The Max and Pro Max use rear-wheel-drive configurations.
The Max produces 245 kW (329 hp), while the Pro Max increases output to 300 kW. Their 0-to-100 km/h acceleration times are 6.4 seconds and 5.4 seconds, respectively.
The range-topping Ultra uses a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined output of 500 kW. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.48 seconds.
This creates a substantial performance gap between the entry-level rear-wheel-drive model and the high-output Ultra.
Battery Capacity and CLTC Range
The three LS6 variants use different battery capacities and range configurations.
The Max is equipped with a 76 kWh battery and has a CLTC range of 650 km. The Pro Max uses a 93 kWh battery and reaches 782 km of CLTC range.
The Ultra features the largest 103 kWh battery, with a claimed CLTC range of 750 km.
Despite having the largest battery, the Ultra’s range is lower than the Pro Max because of its dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration and higher performance output.
800-Volt Fast Charging
All three LS6 variants use an 800-volt electrical architecture.
Charging from 10% to 80% takes approximately 18 minutes for the Max, 20.3 minutes for the Pro Max and 16.8 minutes for the Ultra.
IM Motors also states that a 15-minute charging session can add approximately 420 km to 530 km of driving range, depending on the vehicle configuration and charging conditions.
The 800-volt system is designed to support shorter charging stops while complementing the LS6’s long-range battery options.
IM AD Zeta Driver Assistance
The new LS6 features the IM AD Zeta driver-assistance system.
The system uses a 520-channel LiDAR sensor and supports Navigation on Autopilot, or NOA, without depending on high-definition maps.
Other functions include parking-space-to-parking-space navigation and memory parking capabilities.
IM Motors is offering the full IM AD feature package free for a limited period, expanding the technology package available to LS6 buyers.
Digital Cockpit and Interior Technology
Inside, the LS6 features a 27.1-inch 5K MiniLED dual-screen display setup designed to serve as the central digital interface.
A separate 15.6-inch display is provided for the front passenger.
The cabin also integrates IM Claw, an AI agent based on Alibaba’s Qwen large language model. The system is intended to provide conversational and intelligent interaction within the vehicle’s digital environment.
Additional equipment includes a B&O sound system, seats equipped with 4D mechanical massage and an 11-liter refrigerator with doors that can be opened from either side.

LS6 Position in the IM Motors Lineup
The LS6 was first introduced in October 2023 and has become an important model for IM Motors. The latest generation forms part of the company’s NEXT·2028 strategy and follows the updated L6 electric sedan introduced on August 28.
The new LS6 enters a crowded Chinese five-seat SUV market alongside models including the Tesla Model Y, Zeekr 7X, Xiaomi YU7, Luxeed R7 and Li Auto L6.
