Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to California included a noteworthy meeting with Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, culminating in a tour of the Tesla Fremont plant and a thrilling ride in the highly anticipated Cybertruck. The visit was marked by lighthearted banter, with Musk playfully referencing DeLorean jokes during the factory tour. The tour’s grand finale was a high-speed Cybertruck ride with Musk at the wheel, leaving Netanyahu visibly impressed and eliciting remarks such as “this is the future” and “we are living in the future.”

The Cybertruck demonstration took place on the factory grounds, where Elon Musk showcased the electric pickup’s impressive maneuverability by executing sharp turns and accelerating with precision. As Netanyahu entered the Cybertruck, a close look at its interior confirmed the distinct angular design that complements the vehicle’s edgy exterior. Notably, the seats, mirrors, and armrests all featured the same distinctive styling, with angular seat adjustment buttons to complete the cohesive aesthetic.

Elon Musk also provided insights into Tesla’s cutting-edge battery technology, showcasing the battery cells used in Tesla vehicles, including the 4680-style cells utilized in the Cybertruck. Musk expressed optimism, predicting an annual increase in battery production efficiency of up to 8%.

Anticipation is building for Musk’s upcoming announcement at Giga Texas, where he is expected to reveal details about the first Cybertruck deliveries in the coming weeks. However, recent sightings of the Cybertruck undergoing off-road testing at the Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area near San Jose indicate that the pickup is still undergoing final testing rounds. Tesla employees on-site informed onlookers that mass deliveries of the Cybertruck are slated for October.
